Hannah Cunliffe: University of Oregon | Women's Track & Field present: " fastest women in the world"

Hannah Cunliffe: University of Oregon | Women's Track & Field present: " fastest women in the world"
The Federal Way senior will be a sprinter at University of Oregon after putting together one of the best youth résumés in the United States. Cunliffe finished up in fourth place at the 200 meters at the 2013 IAAF World Youth Championships in Ukraine for 16-17 year olds with a time of 23.44. During the 2013 outdoor season as a 17 year old HS Junior, Cunliffe ran a personal-best time of 11.38 in the 100 meters and ran a 23.10 in the 200.

In the 2014 indoor season ran a personal best of 7.30 in the indoor 60M which is US#14 ALL-TIME for HS Girls and 6.79 in the 55M which comes in at US#11 ALL TIME for HS Girls. Her 60M time is faster than Alyson Felix, and Sanya Richards in HS to name a few. She also holds the US National HS Record for freshman girls in the 60M (7.47). Hannah opened up the 2014 outdoor season with March meet at the TX Relays running a first meet 100 time of 11.40.
Hannah’s father is certified as a USATF Level2 Sprints/Hurdles/Relays & USATF Emerging Elite Coach in Sprints/Hurdles/Relays. Cunliffe has previously worked with some of the elite trainers in Track & Field and sport development; including Former VP of Olympic weightlifting – John Thrush, Tony Veney - USATF Level 3 Clinician & Coach, as well as Charles Clinton - head of USATF Emerging Elite coaching program for sprints.

“Working with many of the elite coaches in the country I’ve been very blessed to pick up best practices from some very smart coaches throughout my coaching career. I’m adding John Opfer to that list. I’d say that He’s among the top trainers in the country in the area of biomechanics and kinetic expression in regards acceleration and max velocity running. He’s also one of the top trainers in regards to elite optimization which is critical for competition at the highest levels in the world. John has impacted greatly Hannah’s start mechanics all the way through her acceleration phase right into her max velocity phase. As a coach of multiple elite athletes; I can say without hesitation that John is at the top with the best. To any Track & Field athlete these mechanics are not only crucial to your performance, but critical. No matter how much weight room work or track work an athlete does, they aren’t expressing it to the fullest without pelvic positioning and this allows optimum expression - this is THE key factor.

“Opfer’s training trains the body quickly so you can express maximum power, output and speed. He has unlocked the mystery of the pelvic bowl in order for premier athletes such as Hannah to run and express maximum power for maximum strength and velocity”, said Cunliffe. “If you’re not in the correct pelvic position for drills, lifting, or set position then you are not optimizing what you have built. “John Opfer is the only guy I know that has figured it out and knows how to optimize it to the exact degree, without the use of chiropractors and body workers”.

Jon is awesome! I found him when I was with the Bills in 2009-2010 season, when I had torn my ACL,LCL with a muscle tear. He got me back on the field 9-10 months later... My rehab time was suppose to be a year to 2 years. I guess you can call me Wolverine hahaha, but naw, it's hard work and dedication, we made all work easy work. Now I'm back to the NFL, and I'm very excited.

I started working with John back in 2008 when I was a sophomore at UB. He helped train me, as well as my teammates during the off-season for football. After my first session of training with John, I immediately felt a difference in my athletic abilities. I could feel myself becoming faster, my legs were getting stronger, and I definitely felt an overall change in my performance with football. Not only was I in my best shape after training with John, but I also had the best season of my college football career where I gained 1400 receiving yards.
There are not a lot of people who can say that they have a good relationship with their trainers the way that I have with John. I consider him to be a close friend, rather than just a trainer. In any situation, inside the gym or outside, John has always been there to help. He is motivating, caring, and committed when it comes to achieving athletic and personal goals. I believe every athlete should have the opportunity to work with John.

Proformance is the place that I have chosen to train because of the results that I receive after I am done. I am more explosive, faster, and stronger in every area. It is not the typical training that you always see. There are specifics that are given to you for your body type, your sport, and your position. Almost everyday there is something new that can push your game to another level, and with the about of talent that walks through the door, the competitor thats inside you will not let you slack

Proformance brought a true athlete out of me, took me from good to great. Proformance is the best way to prepare for your season, it focuses on your overall strength and body awareness. I've been working with John since before my freshman year of high school football & since then I have become stronger & explosive in the weight room and on the field. "Looking forward to finishing out the season, We're in a great position to achieve our goal of Mac Championship. Anxious to see what my future may hold after"

I have played Jr, Division 1, and Professional Ice Hockey. I currently play in the AHL for the affiliate team to the Anaheim Ducks, the Syracuse Crunch. Before John and I met I trained with quite a few good trainers such as Dave Smith of the NHL. I have been coming to Proformance for the past 4 summers and have improved tremendously not only physically but mentally as well. John's approach is a unique one. There are not many trainers that are willing to push the limits with the success that John has. His approach and love for training is seen throughout the facility and athletes. I can say 100 percent with out a doubt in my mind that John has helped me become a professional athlete and continues to push me on a daily basis to want more and to never accept complacency. I would tell any young athlete not only hockey but any sport to give Proformance a real chance. He will help you become the athlete you always dreamed you could be but never knew how to get there.

Working with you John is something I look forward too every day because I know I'm going to only get better and I know I will have a great time doing it too. You've taught me a lot about my body, sports, my mind but most importantly that everyday is a chance to get better and I'm blessed to be given the opportunities that are in front of me. You help me realize that and be the best that I can be and I couldn't ask for anything more in a trainer but also a great friend. I appreciate everything you do for me and I couldn't be where I am today without the help from you in my training and in life.

John has been a major factor in the success that I have earned through my collegiate career at Syracuse University. Not only has he pushed me to raise the bar each summer but he has sent me back to school in even better shape than the year before. John has taught me to push myself both mentally and physically to be the best I can be and to not accept defeat. Everything we do off ice, reflects my performance on the ice. I would highly suggest training with John and his staff if you want to push yourself to be your best.

I have been training with John for 2 years. My goal has been to attain the highest level of fitness to allow me to compete with and against athletes at the highest levels in hockey. I believe that John's training has allowed me to accomplish this goal. I have consistently graded out as excellent for strength and fitness despite my stature. His training program has also allowed me to improve my performance, improve my speed and avoid major injuries despite a rigorous hockey schedule. It has allowed me to compete successfully against some of the world's elite hockey players. John knows his athletes; he knows how hard they can be pushed and does not let you give anything but your best work. I recommend John's program without reservation to anyone who would like to compete at the highest levels in any sport.

Proformance has changed my life, on and off the soccer field. After enduring long term injuries, training at Proformance has helped increase my confidence, my speed, and my overall athleticism. Playing at a division one level, one needs that competitor's edge. Proformance put fuel under my fire and got me back on the field and took my game to the next level. Training at Proformance took my physiological weaknesses and made them stronger, made me one step faster than my opposition and pushed me to become where I am right now. The atmosphere and the Proformance trainers' attitudes are contagious and made me push harder and work on things that when it comes down to it, made me mentally stronger. Proformance created a way for me to succeed in what I love doing, playing soccer, and I am forever grateful for what I have learned at its trainings, helping shape me into the player I am today.

“I have been going to Proformance Training since I was 12 years old. Over the past 6 years, I have seen my speed and size improve tremendously. It is a great experience that has paid off for me, especially when I was getting prepared for Division 1 collegiate soccer. I do not know of any other type of training that can even come close to Proformance. John Opfer has helped me with my strength, speed and injury prevention. I am so thankful that I have chosen John and Proformance Training over any other.”

I have been training at Proformance sports training since I was 14 years old. The reason I keep coming back is because Proformance has helped me improve in all aspects of my game. The summer camp at Proformance has prepared me more for preseason training than any other workout program I have tried. Proformance has helped me grow as an athlete and has allowed me to keep pushing to compete at a higher level, and the atmosphere created when the areas top athletes come together makes for a great training environment. Everyone is always pushing each other to get better. There really isn’t anything else like it, if you are willing to put the work in the results will speak for themselves.
